Transformational Community
Julie Hanover
Julie entered Harvard an atheistic math major. She couldn't fathom that a thinking person could
be a Christian. But then she encountered a Christian community and saw the gospel lived out. There
was a group of guys down the hall that was different. 
Here were thinking Christians! Julie
experienced a community of grace and truth. She felt accepted, and a sense of togetherness she had
never seen before. They welcomed Julie into their community and, over time, her life was changed
by an embodied witness of the gospel. She went on to lead and Alpha course to introduce her friends
to Christ, then travelled to East Asia where her team saw 30 studednts accept Christ in a month, and
then went on to seminary. This year she got married to one of those guys down the hall.
