The Solution

1. Share the Gospel - a lot

Every week our staff and student leaders talk with their friends about Jesus Christ. We want to help them do it more.

Alpha - $100
One of the best ways we've found to cut through the cultural clutter here in Boston is with the Alpha Course. Alpha is a practical introduction to Christianity - a 10 week course that involves dinner, a video, and a discussion about the basics of the Christian faith. $100 pays for two non-Christian students to attend the course.

2. Train Students to do Evangelism

Many of the students involved in our ministry have a relationship with Christ, but don't know how to introduce their friends and classmates to Him. We've found that conferences are often the most effective way to train and motivate students to share the gospel.

Boston Winter Conference - $250
The Boston Winter Conference trains future student leaders. $250 pays for one student to attend and includes a day of evangelism in the city of Boston. 500 students from across the Northeast join us to reach out to the community.

Spring Break Evangelism - $500
Over spring break, we send students to the beaches of Florida for a week of evangelism training and experience. $500 pays for one student to attend. Typically, we share the gospel with over 2,000 people per week and see over 200 begin a relationship with Jesus Christ.

3. Start New Movements

We have movements of the gospel on 20 of the 46 schools in Boston. We want to start new movements so that everyone in the city (and eventually the world) has a chance to hear the gospel.

International Summer Project - $1000
Help launch a new spiritual movement overseas. $1000 helps us send students to Kazakhstan, East Asia, and South Africa for a summer of evangelism and discipleship where they work to launch new movements of the gospel.

Launch a Campus - $2500
Want to start a new movement here in Boston? $2,500 pays for bibles and Christian materials to help us find interested students and pays for an Alpha course to give a group of 10-12 students a chance to hear the gospel in community and do outreach on an un-luanched campus where thers is currently no Christian witness.

4. Recruit More Full Time Laborers

Boston is a compelling place to share the gospel. It's why we're here. But it's also expensive. One of our biggest barriers to recruiting the top evangelists to come to Boston is the cost of living.

Intern Housing - $5000
$5,000 Pays for the housing for one of our interns, and so lowers the cost-of-living barrier for our interns. We think we can use about 30 interns well, but we currently have inexpensive housing for 10.

Ministry Housing - $10,000
To recruit the best senior staff in the country, we need to help make it more affordable to live and work in Boston. Each of our staff raises their own personal budget, but the expense of housing forces many of our top staff to reconsider coming to Boston to share the gospel. We want to put a down payment on a new ministry house near BU or Northeastern where couples and families can live and work. This will enable them to report to their assignment more quickly and allow us to expand our movements more rapidly.
